tinygarden — A java package for testing properties of spanning trees

چکیده

Spanning trees are fundamental objects in graph theory. The spanning tree set size of an arbitrary can be very large. This limitation discourages its analysis. However interesting patterns emerge small cases. In this article we introduce tinygarden, a java package for validating hypothesis, testing properties and discovering from the graph.

NUMBER OF SPANNING TREES FOR DIFFERENT PRODUCT GRAPHS

In this paper simple formulae are derived for calculating the number of spanning trees of different product graphs. The products considered in here consists of Cartesian, strong Cartesian, direct, Lexicographic and double graph. For this purpose, the Laplacian matrices of these product graphs are used. Form some of these products simple formulae are derived and whenever direct formulation was n...

Long-range properties of spanning trees

We compute some large-scale properties of the uniform spanning tree process on Z 2. In particular we compute certain crossing probabilities for rectangles and annuli.

Lower bounds for testing Euclidean Minimum Spanning Trees

The Euclidean Minimum Spanning Tree problem is to decide whether a given graph G = (P,E) on a set of points in the two dimensional plane is a minimum spanning tree with respect to the Euclidean distance. Czumaj, Sohler, and Ziegler [2] gave a 1-sided-error non-adaptive property-tester for this task of query complexity Õ( √ n). We show that every non-adaptive (not necessarily 1-sided-error) prop...

Counting the number of spanning trees of graphs

A spanning tree of graph G is a spanning subgraph of G that is a tree. In this paper, we focus our attention on (n,m) graphs, where m = n, n + 1, n + 2, n+3 and n + 4. We also determine some coefficients of the Laplacian characteristic polynomial of fullerene graphs.

Variations for spanning trees

Coursebooks discussing graph algorithms usually have a chapter on minimum spanning trees. It usually contains Prim’s and Kruskal’s algorithms [1, 2] but often lacks other applications. This type of problem is rarely present at informatics competitions or in tests in secondary or higher level informatics education This article is aimed at describing some competition tasks that help us prove that...
